To good to be forgotten.

Elephants Never Forget.

PETA is a non profit organization which stands for Peoples Ethical Treatment of Animals. See their website:
http://www.peta.org/about/<
Donations are greatly appreciate for the animals hear their pleas. PETA main purpose of the group is for the ethical treatment of animals states to set up banned ordinances that forbid the use of electric prods, bull hooks as well as other inflicting pain devices used on Circus Elephants or any other abusive instruments.

There is concern by this organize to bring awareness of cruelty to Circus Elephants by their trainers or care takers.

Mainly not only for the safety of the animals are they concerned but for the audience that could be in danger. If these elephants go on a rampage from such abuse.
Because these circuses travel from town to town and ordinances would have to be in place in order for these areas to have any jurisdiction over these issues .

Each individual state can enact this ordinance which would provide protection and authority to act on these reports.PETA has reported these abusive confinements and state that the beatings of these elephants are concealed from public view in an online video; you can see the elephant being prod ed by a bull hook and screaming while the hook is being embedded into his skin.

These videos prove what goes on behind closed doors and now it is in our hands to make a stand for them that have no voice.

Please go to these websites and see for yourself. If we are truly animal loving than stand up and be counted. You cannot close an eye to such abusive behavior especially someone who is its caretaker. Most elephants live a saddened life of confinement and mistreatment. We've got to open those closed doors to let the light shine in.

This is my second journal entry and by you reading it in hopes you will come away feeling compassion for any animals ill treatment. Thanks for letting me vent my opinion. In hopes this has made you more aware of our world that needs sometimes to be shown the right path.
Best!!!

In Jenny's passing here the trumpeting.

Shirley and Jenny were both Circus Performing Elephants. Shirley adopted Jenny an orphan.

she became her surrogate mother. Even after becoming separated Shirley never

forgot. The separation lasted twenty three years.

During this time Shirley was taken the Carol Buckley's Sanctuary Reserve for abused elephants.

It was during this time that Jenny was bought to the reserve. When Jenny saw Shirley both

started to trumpet vocalizing their joy at seeing each other again. They both quickly fell into their old routine of roaming the sanctuary together. Constantly in each others company.

Both renew their long lost friendship.

Several years had pasted and Jenny became ill the results from a leg injury. It was during this time that Shirley stood vigil over her while nested down in a shady valley underbrush.

Night and day Shirley never left her side . She used her trunk to help[ Jenny up and turn from side to side. there were two other sanctuary friends by the names of Tarra and Bunny.

During Jenny's passing. Shirley and the other friends started vocalizing and making trumpeting

sounds. These vibrating sounds were felt through out the sanctuary. It was their way of expressing Jenny's joy filled of her life.

After her passing Shirley became depressed over her friends passing. For days the two elephants Shirley and Bunny had not returned to the barn.

Finally another circus outcast by the name of Misty She was a new arrival. This little one had an enormous energy with her spinning and loud jubilant trumpeting restored Shirley.

She was back to her old self again. Eating and playing restoring her spirit. She was back with the herd. Thanks to this Tennessee Sanctuary they will have a home for as long as they live.

If this isn't a happy ending. Elephants do have a heart because they never forget.

Best!
